We’re Dan and Michelle, a husband-and-wife team who originally bought this Aramex run for our girls. After selling our family home in Beerwah, the plan was to help them get settled into a solid business that could give them a great future — and then we’d head off and do a bit of travelling.

As life goes though, plans change. Our daughters chose different career paths, which left us with a courier run we never really planned on operating ourselves. Instead of throwing in the towel, we rolled up our sleeves, jumped in the vans and gave it a proper crack — and we’re proud of what we’ve built.

Michelle works full time in the office, handling the admin, customer communication and the day-to-day organisation that keeps everything running smoothly. Dan works full time on the road, managing deliveries, pickups and client relationships. Our daughter, who is currently at university, helps out as needed, and during busier periods we bring in Blue Couriers to assist with freight overflow.

This setup has allowed us to run the business efficiently without being locked into long, exhausting days — and it clearly shows how flexible and scalable an Aramex run can be. You can keep it lean, involve family, or bring in contractors when volumes increase. You’re not boxed into one way of operating.

We’ve built strong relationships with local businesses, grown the income steadily, and turned the run into something reliable and rewarding. Now it’s time for us to step into that next chapter we originally envisioned: more travel and more time together.
